American low-cost airline JetBlue is planning to roll out scheduled services between New York and Georgetown in the near future.
On Wednesday, staff members were informed of the decision and were also told that the airline intends to have dedicated aircraft for the New York–Georgetown route.
The service is likely to be launched at the end of this year or early 2020 between New York and Georgetown with connections to its other destinations.
Airline officials are expected to begin filing all the necessary documentation soon with the local Civil Aviation Authority, to begin the process for the service.
JetBlue started operations in 1999 and has quickly grown into a well recognised global name in the aviation sector.
