Saint Lucia has welcomed a new CARICOM Ambassador to the island. His Excellency, Hon. Robert Livingstone Morris, Non-Resident High Commissioner
Designate of Barbados to Saint Lucia, presented his Letters of Credence and Introduction to Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony, Prime Minister, during an official visit
on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
A former teacher and university lecturer, High Commissioner, Morris is also Barbados’ Ambassador to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Barbados and Saint Lucia are both members of CARICOM, as well as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). The two nations established diplomatic relations as of February 22, 1979, when Saint Lucia attained Independence.
